How to Create a Facebook Lead Form for Lead Generation Ads

In Meta Ads, there are many types of ads you can create, but most people focus on Lead Generation Ads. Lead generation ads consist of two parts: the Lead Form and the campaign creation. Today, we'll guide you on how to create a Lead Form for Lead Generation Meta Ads.

Step 1: Open your Facebook Profile/Page
Start by opening your Facebook Profile and logging in with your credentials (Email ID/Phone Number and Password).

Step 2: Open Meta Business Suite
Select the Facebook Page from which you want to run the ads, then open Meta Business Suite.


Step 3: Select the Instant Forms Option
On the Meta Business Suite Dashboard, scroll down and click on All Tools (bottom left side). Then, select the Instant Forms option and click on it.

Step 4: Create a Lead Form
Now you're in the correct window to create a Facebook Lead Form. In the top-right section, you’ll see an option to Create a Form. Click on it to begin creating your form.


Step 5: Complete the Form Details
In this step, you'll configure all the options to complete your form:


  • Name your form: Choose a name that suits your needs.
  • Form Type: You'll see two options: More Volume and Higher Intent. I recommend choosing More Volume.
  • Intro: Here, you’ll have two fields—background image and greeting. For the background image, you can select “Use the image from your ad,” and in the greeting section, write a few lines about the product or service you’re advertising.
  • Questions: In this section, you can ask questions using various formats like Multiple Choice, Short Answer, etc. Then, in the Prefill section, you can choose fields like Name, Email, Phone Number, City, Pin Code, and Birth details. These fields will be automatically filled by Facebook, generating the lead.
  • Privacy Policy: Add a link to your website's privacy policy in this section.
  • This is the final step, where the user fills out their details and agrees to your privacy policy and terms & conditions. You will have three options here:
  • Visit your website
  • Download a PDF or document file
  • Call your business
  • If you want the user to visit your website, select the Visit website option. If you want to provide a presentation or brochure, select the Download option. If you want the user to connect with you directly via a call, select the Call option.
  • And that’s it! Your Facebook Lead Form is now created. By setting up a Lead Objective campaign, you can run ads using this form.
